Hot on the heels of my most recent post, OSW was back at it again this week and was determined to add one more killshot to our wall of fame. We've been working on Majordomo Staghelm for the last several weeks but it wasn't until we amalgamated our raid forces and added an extra day to our raiding schedule that we found the time to focus on refining our strategy for this boss.

Staghelm is an intricate fight but we've had a blast working on it and now we are setting our sights on Ragnaros! I'll see you online tonight as we get cracking on the last boss in Firelands!

That's right, OSW is on fire, both figuratively and literally, since the introduction of Firelands. Besides showing off our l33t skills at 'staying out of fire' and laughing as we do it, OSW has had a string of bosses downed and on farm since patch 4.2 went live. PIcs or it didn't happen? Well, I've got a whole gallery of killshots to share!

Shannox tries playing hide and seek, but every week we lure him out and deal with his puppies Rageface and Riplimb before finishing him off.


Beth'tilac attempts to overwhlem us with baby spiders, but Lym gets his chance to play Spiderman and chases her down with his 'spidey-sense'.


Lord Rhyolith is our gimmick fight which makes it Lym's most favourite-est fight evah! Nothing like RNG to make every week a thrill!


Baleroc is my favourite fight - what healer doesn't love heals that hit for 150k! Besides the OP healing and tank health, this fight is a bit of fun for all!


Alysrazor is our most latest kill, and we've cleared her for the last several weeks. Amnix is our resident flyer but both Wign and Brax have had their own go at 'getting high'.


With OSW at 5/7 we have been making fast progress on Majordomo Staghelm to open the way to Ragnaros, so be prepared to hear from me again soon with our latest killshot. We have currently expanded our raiding week to include Fridays and have welcomed in some new regular raiders to get us there all the faster. So come on out and be a part of OSWs destructive plans for Ragnaros and his Firelands!

Due to inescapable circumstances (ie: Sinth getting a vacation and Canada getting nice summer weather!) we are woefully behind on our site updates. For those in the know, OSW rocked Nefarion the last week BEFORE it got nerfed and the patch came out - an achievement that I bragged about during my entire summer vacation to any poor soul that was willing to listen (and plenty more that didn't want to, I'm sure).

Not ones to rest on our laurels, OSW has been hard at work on new content in Firelands. Even though we are in the peak of a beautiful summer we have had great turnout and have 5 boss kills in Firelands to show for our dedication. I will be posting up those pics soon but in the mean time ...enjoy the long awaited Nef post and I will see you at raid call!

We knew we were getting really close and now we've done it - Cho'gall is down!

As seems to be my MO lately, I'm posting our big news a week late. The upside of my procrastination is that I can report that after so much time trying to down Cho'gall and with all the effort we've all put in it has paid off big time: we one-shotted Cho'gall this week after only getting our first kill last week!



Now that Cho'gall has become a token pinata, look forward to us pushing our progression to Nefarion and soon to be added to our target list, Heroic Halfus!

OSW has been hard at work on Cho'gall for the last few weeks, getting closer and closer to bringing him down. In our intense focus on that fight we've neglected our work on progression in Blackwing Descent. With a fair amount of spare time and a taste to try a new fight, we moseyed (well, lym moseyed - those BEs ya know!) on over to give a few tries on Chimaeron after we made such fast work of the rest of the instance. We gave him a few tries following the recommended strat using 2 tanks but always ended up losing one tank early on. Not knowing what to change to fix this problem we kept going to get more practice and noticed that there wasn't a huge struggle to just let one tank take all the damage.
Going off the reservation we decided to give it a go with just one tank (our other tank still in tank gear and spec ready to take over if it all went horribly wrong) and ended up with a kill! We are not sure if it was a fluke or not because we needed the second tank to take over for our 2nd kill of Chim tonight (yes, yes... more late news!) but the strat definitely seems to work for us for now. As far as we are concerned, a kill is a kill! And we have pics to prove it!
