Just because I have slipped off the edge of the world (wow-wise anyways) hasn't meant that OSW was on a holiday too! After a rowdy week in Vegas (yes Uni, you can keep those stories to yourself!) everyone went back to the serious business at hand. Special credit should be handed to Olebessie and Primos for keeping raids rolling while Mey and Som were playing with strippers!
To get everyone up to speed, just before many of us started to pack our bags for a vay-cay in the sun, we found the time to band together for a little 25man fun.
Razorscale and Ingis
Deconstructor
I think I laughed myself silly when the giant robot made a fantastic impression of Uni's voice and I completely lost it when it went into a tantrum (not that Uni ever has tantrums but a total reinforcement our favorite child-guildie couldn't have been more complete - don't worry Uni, you can get me back later with more stories from the trenches ) I take complete responsibility for the first couple of wipes - hard to heal when you are doubled over with giggles!
Since then OSW has been dedicated to 10 man progression - moving through Ulduar bosses handily. Previously I posted our family album shots of 10man Ignis and Razorscale (somewhere I have lost the photo of us with the Leviathan - maybe the strange rogue in a pink dress stole it!) To add to our repertoire:
Deconstructor and The Council (The Assembly of Iron)
Kologran and Freya
We have also downed the Cat Lady (AKA Auriaya) but I forgot to take a pic. I know, I know - but it was a really fun fight and when we do it this week I will get one I'm sure!
Now that the Canadian contingent of OSW are now longer buried under a mountain of snow many of our guildies are taking advantage of the beautiful weather (do it while you can - muhahahaha!). But we all still make the time to get together and kill stuff - what more could you ask for. So come on out - Sinth is back but I'm sure we can still have a lot of fun regardless!

Just when we run out of first kills to fancy up OSW's front page Blizzard obliges us with some new content to test our mettle and decorate our news page. Plus, I was getting worried I was out of a job (we all know how I need to be the center of attention - even though it will be Lym dancing on the tables in Vegas and not me!)
Ulduar is no walk in the park, but is is something we can happily dive right into after all our Naxx success. Not only did we plow on ahead - we used tanks to do it with!
Uni was so excited to get cracking that he had us give it our first go on the most difficult setting - and even then we did really well. But to ease us into things we decided that super-hard-crazy mode might be something we save for our second shot at the Flame Leviathan. We have now beat this guy on 10 and 25man!
Next on our agenda was Razorscale. This fight throws in so many elements that it kept every raider dancing (not quite Heigan DDR co-ordination; more of a free style run-for-your-life dance craze) Anyone up for more drifting blue gaseous flame spots?
Our most recent kill has been Ignis the Furnace. Our cool-as-ice tanks were working up a sweat by strategically maneuvering Ignis' scorch spots and dragging his adds from flame to water for that quick kill (who needs a lesson in forging metal 101 when you have WOW ?!?!)
Now that I am officially a "Hot Pocket" I'd be happy to avoid spending any more time than necessary hanging out in Ignis' molten codpiece tyvm!
I just can't resist adding the quick snapshot from VoA's latest boss, Emalon the Storm Watcher.
VoA is always a simple quick fight that gets us in the mood for more death and destruction. Don't worry V8, I will get Uni to paint shop you back into the pic (he is hiding behind the body but we all know he is there!)
OSW is happy to be back in the in the thick of things, learning new content and having good laughs; so come on out to raid and find out what I'm "goin' on a boot!"

Well, at least according to Gabbu (those fury warriors certainly have a vocabulary all of their own!)
In fact, the rumors are true that OSW has indeed beaten WOW - and I have the pictures to prove it!
It has now (unfortunately ) been scientifically proven that the only person who can make us win a fight by saying "this is our last attempt" is Vate. It was not for lack of trying on Bessie's and my part but perhaps the authority of our raid leader is more intimidating to Malygos than me and Bessie giggling through it. {I refuse to believe that it actually is because it was our last attempt - give a girl some vestige superstition to cling to!} Someone help us if Lym tries to scare a boss to death - they would just end up sharing the bottle of bleach!
Far be it for OSW to rest on its laurels though. There is plenty of time to try our hands at new challenges before Blizz starts bombarding us with the new content (yay patches!). So look for us at raid time to be tackling Sarth 2D and 3D, as Sarth + 1 drake has been accomplished by the raiders a couple times now too!
So come out to raid - we (or just me) are bound to get sillier as the fights get easier, and 25 windies piled into vent is always a good time!

OSW has been hard at work on clearing 25 man content and last night we destroyed Kel'thuzad. Much fun and laughter was had, but poor Nally was so crestfallen that our body was only a sparkly black dot!
We have had lots of practice on 10 man Naxx, we have even cleared the whole instance in one night several times now! But 25 man KT brought some new challenges to the table for OSW. Our rockin' tanks had no trouble picking up the extra adds Kel'Thuzad tossed our way. The biggest twist was being charmed! Nothing is scarier then a giant sized Cat-form druid bearing down on you (eeek Bessie!) Although I have to admit, being frogged, then turtled when it was my turn was so funny to see - gogo mages and shammies!
OSW is now setting our sights on 25 man Malygos - So come out for raid-call on our new raid schedule that will continue to allow us to time and numbers for more 25 man goodness!

So 25 man Sapphiron on heroic mode finally admitted defeat to the might that is OSW!
Not only did Sapph go down, and I do mean DOWN…we did it in record time AND no one important died! Carnie died, right? But heck…we have too many mages anyway!
Sinthera was on the ball as usual pushing and prodding us to pose for pics. We are so well organized; it only took about 10 minutes to get it taken!
I guess we should mention we came close last week, but due to a non-Saph ice block (GO INSAINE!), we didn’t quite make it. Gotta love our mages! They are super special…and you know what I mean when I say S-P-E-C-I-A-L…heh
Stay tuned for more fun, loots, and exciting OSW

After all the hard work that went into clearing out the four wings of Naxxramas, Sapphiron could hardly expect to peacefully guard the Frostwyrm Lair. Our dedicated raiders (egged on by supportive guild mates) have forged on ahead determined to put that dragon down so that we could have a little chat with Kel'Thuzad himself.
Riding on the exhilaration of our first Sapph kill, we strolled down the hall to meet Kel'Thuzad (okay, okay, I was bouncing down that hall *blush*). He must have been concerned about our imminent arrival at his doorstep because he had surrounding himself with all manner of Scourge minions. Seeing as we had already decimated the population of Naxxramas we could hardly let a little Lich and his friends stand in our way.
Although only 10 OSW raiders get in our first screenshots of these kills, every member has contributed to the demise of these bosses. Excellent teamwork and congratulations belong to all OSW members as we will all have a chance to personally see Sapphiron and Kel'Thuzad put down.
After these feats of strength and determination, what is next for OSW? Well, after rifling through the bits of pretties that Sapphiron had stashed away, our raiders have discovered the Key to the Focusing Iris - I'm sure The Lich King wouldn't mind us dropping by to visit Malygos!

...especially for the Lich King. For the last few weeks OSW has been in fine form, easily downing raid instances left, right, and center.
First up was the Vault of Archavon after some OSW members helped clean out Wintergrasp of gnomes, dwarfs and other unsavory alliance. Archavon the Stone Watcher must have seen us coming because he was fast enough to hand over his loot after we quickly figured out our strategy.
Next we headed over to visit Sartharion and his bevy of twilight drakes in the Obsidian Sanctum. The dragon's reinforcements were quickly picked off and after a couple of tries dancing around Sarth's lava wall the only bones left on the ground were his.
Of course our final stop had to be over at Naxxramas to leave our calling card with Kel'Thuzad and his minions. Over the next couple of nights we successfully cleaned out all four of Naxx's wings and paid a visit to Sapphiron in the Frostwyrm Lair. Although our chilly reception with this dragon has prevented us from spending quality time with Kel'Thuzad himself at the moment, we expect to put that dragon down shortly and see the Lich for ourselves.
Partial pics below, yeah we got too excited and missed some. Don't worry we will add the rest shortly!
Arachnid Quarter:
Plague Quarter:
Military Quarter:
Construct Quarter:
All of this progress is directly attributed to the commitment of our OSW raiders in being prepared for the fights and their dedication to seeing these bosses go down. More importantly we have been having an absolute BLAST! The Wrath of the Lich King has brought us lots of interesting content to make leveling from 70 to 80 as enjoyable as possible but I, for one, am quite happy to be raiding again with all of my wonderful guildies.

We have been busy over the past month. Not only hitting our new 25 man targets when the raid population permits but also setting time aside to clean up some unfinished business. Namely, Hex Lord Malacrass and Zul'Jin in ZA. The first of which went down pretty easily:
The one-armed bandit will follow very shortly.
Remember, we're always recruiting and looking for skilled folks with good attitudes! Be sure to check out the RECRUITMENT FORUM!
